Would the real Porky please stand up?

The real Porky is way cuter by far, but I think I did an ok job for my first knitted guinea pig. I hope lil' sis approves! It's for her Bday. I used a pattern that I bought from Greenjelly, although I modified it quite a bit as I wanted to make it look more like the real guy. I'm going to make a few more for sure- one following the pattern to a T. A few with my own techniques... My whole family really likes Porky, so I might get some more requests :)

Back from the Holiday break

Happy New Year everyone! I almost crafted every day of Christmas break with my little sister mainly, but even some of my other family members joined :) I had a lot of fun and absolutely loved spending time with my little sister! Christmas Eve she told me "You make Christmas special!" and when I left she said "I enjoyed every minute with you." How could that not have been the best Christmas.Anyway, just wanted to share some pics. I also made another Mushroom right before the New Year ended. I went to the fabric store and told Karolin she could pick two fabrics and I would make her a custom mushroom and I loved the results.

I had planned on making a bunch of Christmas mushrooms, but my schedule got too hectic. I'm glad I did finish one for a special someone at the last minute. My last mushroom of the year :)

And one last thing to share: some of my Christmas gifts and Christmas craftings. Choco & Minty as bees- I love them so so much!!!! Kathie Olivas toys... a craft bucket from my Secret Santa... the biggest gift of all- a Canon EOS 5D- I sooo can't wait to use it!!! Paper snowflakes... and one of the gifts I got for Chris- that was my fave pic of our gift exchange.... he got me Choco & Minty, the Kathie Olivas toys, and the Camera- I'm so lucky :)

I crocheted up these flowers for one of my friends at work for her Xmas present. I hope they brighten her day every day!

They are removable from their pot even and come with their own crocheted soil! And the best part, no watering needed :)

I found the pattern at on the web at www.mygurumi.de and I just had to embellish and add faces to the flowers

PS: that's one of my paper snowflakes casting a shadow- how pretty!
