Teddy Bear on a whim & Bat from Fuzzy Mittens

The other day I was at Michael's and I saw this great ball of yarn. Well, it wasn't that great, but immediately I envisioned this little bear when I looked at the skein of yarn. I'm pretty happy with the result, being that I free-formed him. I am especially proud of the hat with the holes to let the ears poke out. It felt very good to just knit and crochet with no rules :)

Then the Bat is going to be 1 of the 24 presents for my little sister for her Advent calendar. I have a lot of work ahead of me! :p The pattern is by Fuzzy Mittens- aren't her patterns just super adorable?

Hamlet the Piggie

with the Olympics and all, I've been feeling distracted lately with updating the shop. But I love to craft, so I decided to start going through some of my pattern books and at least crochet while watching TV and hopefully start stockpiling for Christmas :D It's a win win! Plus, I was super happy with how cute this little guy turned out. I made him from the book "Amigurumi: Super Happy Crochet Cute" by Elisabeth A. Doherty It's a super book and has some fantastic patterns in it. And I must say I"m really fond of that title ;p

Benny the Narwhal

I really enjoy knitting and crocheting from other people's patterns. I love not having to think about what's next and just meditatively crochet or knit. It's so relaxing!

I love how this little Narwhal turned out and I'm already on my 2nd one. So so cute! I will definitely buy some more of Edafedd's patterns :) I want to make the whale, snail, beluga, and dolphin- just about everything in that shop :D

Froggie in a flowerbed

lil' froggie loves nature!

made a smaller version of the one I made the other day. He's about 3.75 inches tall. So teeny, yet so sweet. He's going to my shop. He's trying to find a lilypad, will you help him?

Froggie Peek-a-Boo

I made this little froggie for my brother's birthday. He loves frogs and saw some of the even smaller versions I had done for some co-workers and told me that he wanted one for himself one day. So of course, I knew I'd just have to make one for him- afterall, you don't get many 21 yr old guys asking for plushies :D I made this little guy with extra goofy big eyes and a bowtie. He's about double the size of my other froggies that I've made in the past. He's my fave froggie thus far. I'm thinking of making some similar ones for my etsy shop- I need some smaller items for the shop and I think they would be just right. Although I have no idea where to find those kinds of eyes again, I got this pair in a huge lot of eyes I bought on ebay. If any of you have seen them before... let me know. I'll be keeping my eyes open too. I do think the other eyes also turn out cute, just depends on what look you want.

Eloise the Elephant

I crocheted up this little elephant for my sister. She has been wanting one for quite some time now and finally I had the time to make it for her.

I ever so slightly modified the elephant pattern out of the "Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet" book by Ana Paula Rimoli. This was the first pattern I decided to crochet up out of her book and it was really easy to follow and a lot of fun!!!

Squarey & Princess the Bunny

I finally finished these two plushies for two special little kids. They will be traveling to their new home soon and I hope both kids like their gifts :)

Squarey is for Elliot who likes bright colors, legos, and race cars. He does not like big heads however... I can't make up my mind whether I've made him a plush that's got a big head or is only a body with with a face? Since Elliots favorite plush is a humongous duck that's pretty much a ball with a face, I thought he'd be ok with this one. I hope he likes it.
*This is based off of a Jess Hutchinson pattern.

And Princess the Bunny is for Amy. She's a sweet little girl who likes pink and pastels. Her favorite plushes so far have been a bunny, unicorn, doggy and I think this one will fight right in with her collection. She likes to play with pretend food and cook dinner and her room is pink :) I hope Amy will like what I came up with.
