Astrid the Mushroom

Well this is the mushroom I made over the weekend and have been contemplating so much over... and I've decided it's MINE :D I always wanted to keep one for myself... and I just can't part with it. I do have some more of the corduroy left and the top fabric, so I'm hoping to make another one for the shop.

Jelly Legs Jim the Mushroom & Petey the Parrot

Ahoy me Hearties, this is Jelly Legs Jim and his scur'y mate Petey Parrot. They be like most Piratey folk, they be huntin' for Booty for 100 hundred years.

Avast ye, they been lookin' in all the wrong places such as the Dead Sea. Once, Jelly Legs Jim lost his eye in a pillow fight with a gigantic octupus in that very Sea. Shiver me timbers! Just kiddin', not really but he likes t' pretend that he did (the pillow fightin'twas for real) Savvy?

Unlike most parrots, Petey does not like t'talk or repeat thin's. He's happiest collectin' shiny seashells and sittin' on Jelly Legs Jim's shoulder. Which Suits Jelly Legs Jim just fine, for e'ery pirate must have a loyal parrot by his side.

Legend goes that Jelly Legs Jim is feared by all, for he can tickle you t'the depths o'the earths!

I had a ton of fun making this guy. I made him for the "Handmade Kids Challenge" on etsy- wish me luck! If you do want to buy Jelly Legs Jim, feel free to do so, I'll still be entered in the challenge even if you scoop him up :)

Aaden the Mushroom

Aaden is a free-spirit. He loves to hang out by the beach and loves all sorts of sports. His favorite is windsurfing and he loves to fly kites at the beach. He's also got a big heart, whenever he sees trash on the beach- he makes sure to pick it up and throw it away. He also makes sure to not step on sandfleas or sandcrabs or really anything that's living by the beach. Aaden is ready to come and play with your shovel and pail :)

Buttercup the Mushroom

This was a custom order that I received from Plushgoodness on etsy! I was thrilled to make another yellow mushroom :D And Leeanna makes great plush of her own, check them out here.

Lisa the Mushroom

UPDATE: Lisa found a new home and I'm so excited. She's my first sale that's not to a family member/friend/co-worker. Thank you Chelsea!!!

Lisa's favorite season is summer, because she loves to sell lemonade when it's really hot outside. She's a very happy mushroom and her life's motto truly is "if life gives you lemons, make lemonade." A true optimist. With some of her savings, she plans on buying herself a pet snail :)

This mushroom comes with a little surprise- it's crocheted and has something do to with Lisa's personality. What could it be?

Maude the Mushroom

I made this new one over the weekend and I must say it's my new favorite. I wonder if I'll feel like this whenever I make a new one. This one is finally going to my shop- hurrah.

So Maude doesn't come with a pet friend, and it's because she's friends with all the stars in the sky. She can spot all of the constellations. Her favorite used to be the Big Dipper but now that she's older she really likes Princess Andromeda. She loves to be awake at night, because she likes to blend in and try to pretend to be a star herself. But I think she doesn't have to blend in at all, she's already a star in my eyes. :)

so i was going to put this one in my shop, but i showed it to my little sister over our weekly webcam conversation and she fell in love with it, so... i can't say no :) plus, she hasn't gotten a mushroom of mine yet. and it matched the shirt she was wearing that day, so i think it was meant to be.

so hopefully, next time around...

Dandelion & Felix

Here's my counterpart for the swap I did with Nichol from Pillow Monsters. I had a ton of fun making this one for Nichol :)

Dandelion is a sweet little mushroom- she's 5 yrs old and her best friend is Felix the Frog. He likes to stair up at the sky and loves to hear the leaves rustling in the wind while lying down on Dandelions head. They both make each other feel safe :) Dandelion likes it when she sees people camping, especially when they make camp fires. She just loves the smell of smores! Who can blame her?! Together they are just about the cutest thing you'll ever see on the forest floor ;-)
