Houses

You may have already seen this article on BBC... but if you haven't I think these are sooo cool! I love artwork with houses in it or plush houses, there's something about houses that captivates me. Maybe it's because I don't have one and I would love to have one... it could be adding to my obsession for sure. I especially like plush houses, of course! And I just thought it was great that 40 crafters got together in England and re-created their village of Mersham, plus the old lady really makes me smile :) She looks so proud! And well she should be :)

I really like the work of mummysam- she makes some terrific houses :) I need to get one for sure- sure beats buying a house here in Southern California ;) Check out her store!

Knitted Octopus

I've been admiring Hansi Singh's work for a long time now and when I saw that she had a book out on Amazon with 20 patterns- I knew I had to get it. I love her patterns and to my surprise, as intricate as they look, I knitted this guy up with ease. It was helpful that she included explanations in the beginning of the book for some of the tougher stitches to refresh my memory. I made him on Saturday and plan on making a few more... right now, I'm making the snail for myself because well I love snails!

And lastly, the littlest m blogged about my pink easter bunny mushroom. I love her photo! so I had to share :)

Lilly the Mushroom

Yay! I finally had the chance to add a mushroom to my shop. I still have a few more custom orders to complete, but I needed a break and just started sewing with this fabric combination. Isn't she so summery?! I love her! :) I love how season seem to affect with what fabrics I sew.

This mushroom is going to Bethany for the opening of her new studio & gallery HATCH. I'm so happy to be part of HATCH. I wanted this mushroom to be bright and sunny just like HATCH's future! :D
